Ghana Premier League matchday 12 preview: Medeama v Great Olympics

Medeama’s current objective will be to secure a two wins in a row as they await the arrival of Great Olympics.

The Tarkwa-based club secured a 2-1 victory over Inter Allies in their last league game.

They have now won two of their last five games in the competition (W2 D1 L2) and are 2nd in the league as a result with 20 points, just one behind league leaders AshantiGold. A win against Olympics will help a great deal in their title challenge.

Great Olympics are out to end their three game winless streak in the league. The Oly Dade boys lost 2-1 to Eleven Wonders on matchday 9 and were held to a 1-1 draw by Legon Cities on matchday 10.

The Accra-based outfit suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea on matchday 11, sparking some concerns among the fans. A win against Medeama will get them back on track.

On head-to-head basis, Medeama have won two of their last four meetings (W2 D1 L1).
