Ghana Premier League Matchday 9 Preview: King Faisal v WAFA

Published on: 07 February 2020

Struggling King Faisal will hope to record its first win this weekend when they take on West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) on Match Week 9 of the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The Kumasi-based side is one of the 3 Division One League clubs that were reinstated into the top-flight following the coming into office of the new Ghana Football Association (GFA) executives.

After playing 8 matches in the season, King Faisal remains without a win. In that run of poor run, the Alhaji Grunsah owned club has drawn 3 matches and has also lost 5 games, leaving them bottom of the table.

While they continue to battle relegation, their next opponent will be WAFA who looks to be doing well this season when they play away from home, unlike previous seasons.

The Academy Boys remains high up the table and will be gunning for positive results to boost their quest of getting into the top four.

In a preview to the encounter, King Faisal and WAFA is expected to put up a fight when they meet at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Prediction:

King Faisal 1-0 WAFA
