Ghana Premier League Week 11 Review: Hearts move to the top as Yahaya Mohammed scoring run continues

By Favourite Akarboh Aduana Stars recorded the biggest victory of the weekend with a 4-0 thrashing of newboys Dreams FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa. The league's in-form striker, Yahaya Mohammed scored twice to increase his goal tally to 9 with Bright Adjei and Richard Mpong getting the other goals.

Accra Hearts of Oak recovered from last Monday's loss to rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko to secure a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park to move to the top of the League table. Samuel Yeboah scored the only goal of the match to hand Chelsea their first loss at home in four years.

Dauda Mohammed's brace and another goal by Frank Sarfo Gyemfi ensured Kotoko moved to fifth place with a 3-0 victory over bottom-club Ebusua Dwarfs at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Techiman City maintained their impressive home record at The Den with a 3-1 triumph over WA All Stars. Ebenezer Agyapong, Stephen Manu and Issaka Ibrahim scored for Techiman City with Matthew Andoh getting the consolation for Wa All Stars.

Elsewhere at the Sogakope Park, WAFA and Inter-Allies shared spoils in an entertaining scoreless clash.

At the Len Clay Stadium, defending champions Ashanti Gold dipped into the relegation zone after a boring 0-0 draw with Bechem United.

Meanwhile, Sekondi Hasaacas escaped the relegation zone to 12th place after posting an impressive 3-1 win over New Edubiase at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi. Eric Bekoe fired a brace for Hasmal after Ibrahim Suleman's opener while Edubiase’s top scorer Prince Osei Antwi reduced the deficit.

Liberty Professionals clash with Medeama SC was postponed due to the latter’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
