Asante Kotoko striker, Steven Mukwala has been selected as the footballghana Star of Week 9 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
The attacker started for the Porcupine Warriors on Wednesday when the team hosted Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
In a game where Asante Kotoko trailed after 28 minutes after Emmanuel Sarpong had scored to give Berekum Chelsea, it took the stellar performance of Steven Mukwala to turn things around.
The strike assisted Eric Zeze to score to restore parity for the home team in added time of the first half.
Later in the 67th minute of the second half, Steven Mukwala netted the winning goal for Asante Kotoko after his powerful header found the back of the Berekum Chelsea net.
With his assist and goal securing all three points for Asante Kotoko, the forward has been selected as the footballghana Star of the Week for Week 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
He also made it into the official Team of the Week announced by the Ghana Premier League.
