Ghana set for an epic showdown with Nigeria in final qualifying round to FIFA U-17 WC

Ghana will face Nigeria in a titanic encounter later in May 2020 to battle for a spot in this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The two West African countries are known powerhouses when it comes to women’s football and has so far not disappointed in the qualifiers to the next world cup.

While the Black Maidens of Ghana walloped Liberia 10-0 on aggregate in the last round, the Flamingos of Nigeria cruised past Guinea with an 11-2 mauling over the 2 legs.

After crossing that hurdle, the two countries have been paired against each other in the final qualifying round to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The global tournament will be held in India from Monday, November 2 to Saturday, November 21, 2020.
