General Manager for Berekum Chelsea, Oduro Sarfo has affirmed that the Black Stars coaching job should be given to a foreigner when James Kwesi Appiah leaves his post.
According to the hard-talking football administrator, he does not see any coach capable enough on the local scene that can succeed the current head of the senior national team.
Speaking in an interview with Angel FM, Oduro Sarfo indicated that the argument of always hiring a local coach is far-fetched. He insists that going in for another local coach should now be a thing of the past.
“Aside, Kwesi Appiah, I don't know any other local coach who can manage the Black Stars”.
“The issue of Ghana going for a local coach after Kwesi Appiah should be a thing of the past”.
“After him, Ghana should go for a foreign coach, they bring added value”, Oduro Sarfo shared.
Meanwhile, Coach Kwesi Appiah is advocating for local coaches to be considered ahead of expatriate coach.
His job is reportedly not safe and could be fired after December when his current contract runs out.
