Black Stars Stop-gap skipper Emmanuel Agyemang Badu believes Russia will hand them the needed test as they prepare for their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Ghana will take on Russia in an international friendly on Tuesday afternoon.

The game forms part of the team’s preparations ahead of their World qualifier game against Uganda next month and Badu insists this is the right test for them.

“We know Russia is hosting the World Cup in 2018 and we know they will want to play for the fans and their new coach.

“They will come all out for a win and we are prepared for that,” Badu told pressmen in Russia.

“We’ve heard a lot about the Russia national team. Two of our colleagues are now playing in Russia; Jonathan and Rabiu.

“Wakaso also played here and they have told us a lot about the Russians and we are ready for them,” he added.

The game will be played at 19:00 GMT in Russia which is 16:00 GMT in Ghana.
