Ghana starts camping in Accra today ahead of 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Africa

Ghana’s Black Stars will commence camping in Accra today to kick off preparations for their upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa.

The Stars failed at their attempt to end a 37-year wait for an AFCON trophy earlier this year when they participated in the 2019 edition of the continental showdown.

Having been booted out at the round of 16 stage, they have now turned attention to securing qualification to the next AFCON in hopes of finally enjoying triumph in over 3 decades.

All 23 invited players for the team will arrive in the country for camping today before moving to Cape Coast tomorrow.

Checks have revealed some of the player arrived last night with the rest expected to touch down at the Kotoko International Airport as the day progresses.

Below is Coach Kwesi Appiah’s invited players for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against South Africa as well as Sao Tome and Principe.
