Ghana striker Elvis Manu looks forward to a good season in Turkey with Gençlerbirliği

Ghana striker Elvis Manu says he is looking forward to a good season with Turkish side Gençlerbirliği following his move from Brighton and Hove.

The 23 year old who is on preseason with the club in Holland, where he played most of his youth career and also spent 3 years of senior football with Feyernoord.

The Ghanaian, who was attracted by his cheerful attitudes during the training, said he was quick to overcome the nervousness of a new wristband.

"A new club, a new country, a new language. There was anxiety, but there are great people here. They included me right there. I go through the adaptation process quickly,” he told the club’s website.

“I am grateful to all my friends for this. It is also a great advantage for me that the camp is in my country. I think this process facilitates adaptation. Of course I am also interested in Dutch football fans. I hope that this kind of love in Turkey is also worthy of our supporters," he added.

Elvis Manu, who also mentioned his own style of play, finally came up with a promise of a good youth team next season.

"Young people will see us as a team that wants to play football. As a team, we spend the integration process together.”

The former Feyernoord striker signed a three year deal with the club and will be with the club till 2020.
