Ghana striker Michael Sarpong adjudged Rayon Sport player of the year

Ghanaian international, Michael Sarpong has been adjudged as Rayon Sport player of the year following his impressive showing for the side throughout the 2018/2019 season.

The striker bagged sixteen goals last season to earn him the League’s top goalscorer award. In addition to that, the player also found the back of the net 6 times in the league cup, taking his tally to 22 goals in all competitions.

His outing for Rayon Sport helped them to clinch the Rwandan League title at the end of the season.

He has now been appreciated for his input for the club by being named the player of the year for the Blues.

Michael Sarpong, 23, joined the Kigali-based outfit in September 2018 from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC.

He is expected to be part of Rayon Sport’s team that will be aiming to defend the league title during the 2019/2020 season.
