Ghana striker Patrick Twumasi emerged the best player for Kazakhstan club Astana for the month of August, after fans of the club voted him as the top player for the month.
The striker had a good month of August after scoring eight times in five appearances, including a brace against Scottish giants Celtic in the Champions League play offs second win.
However, his goals could not help them qualify for the group stages of the Champions League dropping into the Europa League.
Twumasi’s appearances this season includes two League games and three in European competitions.
The striker, with all the speculations surrounding him shrugged off all reports to produce this fine form.
Turkish side Bursaspor were interested in the Ghanaian but with less than 24 hours for the window to close, it looks like the strike might stay with the Kazacks.
The former Red Bull Academy player has a contract with Asatana till 2020.
