Team manager and communication head of Swiss club FC Zurich, Suha Demokan says Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena’s medical condition won’t affect his performance, indicating the situation is not fatal.

The Ghanaian striker failed his medicals, collapsing his move to English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion for a reported fee of 12 million pounds.

Brighton and Hove Albion announced their withdrawal from signing the player due to failed medicals. FC Zurich expressed shock on hearing the news.

But, head of communications for FC Zurich Suha Demokan revealed the club are aware of the situation but insists it was not in any way going to affect his performance.

“We have noticed the same matter as Brighton & Hove Albion did; however, our doctor did, after thorough review, consider this neither health-threatening nor having an impact on his performance,” he told Finder Sports.

Meanwhile, Suha Demokan has added the player will be subjected to review following the falling out of his move.

“We will now review if anything has changed in this matter in the last 8 months since he joined us.

“This medical review is to ascertain if there has been any new development in the player’s condition after the past eight months after failing medicals with Brighton.

“He is back on our squad and we are looking forward to his performance for our club”, he added.

Raphael Dwamena will be joining the Black Stars team as they prepare for the World Cup qualifiers against Congo.

Ghana will host the Red Devils in Kumasi on Friday with the second leg four days later.
