Head coach James Kwesi only oversaw one victory during the group stages, with the Black Stars seeing off Guinea-Bissau 2-0, but his side remain unbeaten heading into the knockout stages.

Draws against Benin and Cameroon were enough to see the four-time champions through, and now Ghana have received a couple of injury boosts ahead of their clash with Tunisia.

Christian Atsu is still sidelined by Jonathan Mensah is available once more while Manchester City winger Thomas Agyepong has declared himself fit to play.

“I am very hopeful Ghanaians would see me back on the pitch to give my best to mother Ghana, as we aim at winning the continental trophy.”

Kwesi will also have Kasim Adams available after suspension, with the Hoffenheim ace set to line up alongside Mensah in central defence.

Chelsea loanee Baba Rahman is expected to start at left-back while Reading’s Andy Yiadom should get the nod on the opposite flank.

Ebenezer Ofori will start in goal while Thomas Partey is likely to be joined by Mubarak Wakaso in central midfield.

Samuel Owusu should line up on the right of midfield while Agyepong is most likely to come back into the side on the left, having been sidelined since the opening match of the tournament.

Kwadwo Asamoah offers an alternative in the Ghana midfield, having started against Cameroon and come on as a sub last time out.

In attack, brothers Jordan and Andre Ayew are expected to lead the line with three goals between them so far while veteran Asamoah Gyan is set to watch on from the bench.

The Black Stars have not won the AFCON since 1982, although they have beaten opponents Tunisia in six of their seven previous meetings.
