The Black Stars of Ghana will today hold a final training session at the Cape Coast Stadium ahead of the international friendly match against the Elephants of Ivory Coast.

Following the postponement of the start of the qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar by CAF, national teams of the various African countries have decided to engage in friendly matches this month.

The exercise is to help the team prepare adequately and in time for the qualifiers that are now scheduled to commence later in September.

This weekend, the Ghana male senior national team is billed to take on Ivory Coast in a high-profile friendly match on home soil.

Having trained in succession in the last two days, the Black Stars are expected to hold one final training session later this afternoon.

Coach CK Akonnor and his technical team members will use the exercise to finalize the first eleven that would start against the Elephants.

The match that will be played on Saturday, June 12, 2021, will kick off at 17:00GMT at the Cape Coast Stadium.
