Head coach of the Black Stars Charles Kwabla Akonnor is expected to ring some changes in the team for the Ivory Coast encounter.

Ghana will lock horns with West African Powerhouse Ivory Coast on Saturday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in an international friendly game.

The Black Stars in their first friendly lost narrowly to the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the FAR Sportive stadium last Tuesday after Razak Abalora’s howler gifted the North Africa side a 1-0 win.

With the Black Stars seeking to mend against Ivory Coast, the coach is expected to hand starting role to some key players.

Deputy captain Thomas Partey who was not part of the squad that traveled to Morocco has joined the team at camp and could make the starting 11.

Brentford forward Tariq Fosu was also excluded from the trip to Morocco after arriving late at camp but he is currently in camp with the team in Cape Coast and could play a role in the game against Ivory Coast.

Gladson Awako who picked a knock before the Morocco encounter has been declared fit to feature on Saturday.

Meanwhile, key players like Andre Ayew, Baba Abdul Rahman who were benched against Morocco are likely to return to the team.
