Ghana U-17 Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin elated with progress after win against India

Head Coach of the Black Starlets of Ghana, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has expressed delight after the team’s 4-0 win over India to progress to the round of 16 of the FIFA U-17 world cup.

Captain Eric Ayiah scored a brace before substitutes Richard Danso and Emmanuel Toku added the others.

The Black Starlets produced a much improved performance against the host, India after some lackluster displays against Colombia and the United States.

Meanwhile, Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin said after the game, the boys plays to the tactics and were calmer in the game when the goals weren’t coming.

“You can see I am a happy man, I told them to the simple things and they did that and you can see the results,” Fabin said after the game.

“I told them to calm down and then play their normal game, the goal will come and when it comes more will follow, so they should keep calm and keep playing and pushing them around and when the spaces come they can utilize the chances,”

“We are going to prepare for the next opponent, we don’t know the next opponent yes and when we find out which opponent it is we will strategize for them,” he added.

The Black Starlets will find out their next opponent after tomorrow’s round of matches, following their top place finish.
