Ghana U-17 Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin wants to win World Cup

Coach of the Black Starlets, Paa Kwesi Fabin says his target is to win the under-17 world Cup in India this year.

The Black Starlets qualified for the World Cup after winning their first two games at the ongoing Africa Junior Championship in Gabon, beating Cameroon 4-0 in the opener and host Gabon 5-0 in the second game.

 

Ghana are two times champions of the world in 1991 and in 1995.

 

It is still early days since the World Cup in India is in October however Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has not hidden is desire to win the Mundial.

 

Asked by Cafonline.com what his target was for the under-17 world Cup he quickly responded, “To win the World Cup and enjoy playing Ghana's brand of football.”

Ghana will play Niger in the first Semifinal of the Africa Junior Championship and the 58 year old is happy with the hospitality of host nation Gabon.

 

“The hospitality; and warmth of the Gabonese and their appreciation of good football.”

 

Ghana last played in the under-17 world cup in Korea, 2007.
