Ghana U20 coach Karim Zito wants team to succeed at WAFU Zone B tournament to qualify for AFCON

The head coach of the Ghana U20 team, Karim Zito has stressed that he is determined to guide his team to succeed at the WAFU Zone B tournament in Niger to ensure the side qualifies for the U20 AFCON later this year.

The top four teams at the ongoing tournament in Niger will book a place to participate at the U20 AFCON.

Today, Ghana’s Black Satellites will take on Nigeria in the first match of the tournament in Niger.

Ahead of the game, Coach Karim Zito says his team is at the tournament to win it all.

“Nigeria began camping for this tournament four days after we started on Prampram. They got here too earlier and have played two friendlies against Niger but we are posed to qualify to the AFCON,” the gaffer told the media team of the Ghana FA in an interview.

Today’s game between Ghana and Nigeria is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt at the Stade de General-Seyni-Kountche.
