Ghana will make an impression at the World Cup - Hans Nunoo Sarpei

Midfielder Hans Nunoo Sarpei believes the Black Stars will make an impression at the World Cup.

Ghana was selected to Group H, which includes Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea. The global showpiece which will be held in Qatar will kick off from 21 November to 18 December 2022. 32 countries from five confederations will participate in the Mundial.

“Over the years, Ghana has proven to be one of the best teams to represent Africa on the continent and I have no doubt, the team will prove its prowess again in Qatar,” Sarpei told Graphic Sports in an interview.

The FC Ingolstadt midfielder asked Ghanaians to be patient with him, saying that he will make his national team debut when the time was appropriate.

“I don't think I must rush anything because it is a matter of time for me to get the chance to play for Ghana,"

“The time will certainly come for me to prove to Ghanaians what I can do but I am ready to wait for my time and support the team,” he ended.

Sarpei joined 2. Bundesliga side FC Ingolstadt on 1 January 2022. He is the nephew of former Ghanaian footballer Hans Adu Sarpei.
