Ghana and Chicago Fire’s attacker David Accam is disappointed by losing their eleven game unbeaten runin the MLS after suffering a 2-1 defeat to New York City.

Second half goals from David Villa and Frederic Brillant were ultimately enough to overcome a David Accam golazo and claim three points for the hosts.

The 26 year old who came on in the second half described their performance as lackadaisical and things wasn’t just working for them.

"It's not them. It's about us. We were really slow today. I don't know what happened but we didn't pass the ball faster, we kept moving the ball backwards. I don't think they played really well but they took their chances and we just didn't play at all."

Accam is having an amazing season with Chicago Fire scoring and creating assists. He got the consolation after coming on in the second half.

"I just wanted to give the team energy. I came on with positive energy and tried to go forward a lot. Luckily I got a goal," he said about his goal.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian who is disappointed by losing their unbeaten says they will have to respond in a positive way.

"We will lose games. That's part of the game. We have about 14 games more to go. For us, we will try to take the next game and win it. It's part of the game to lose. The way we react in the next game is more important so we need to be sharper and try to win the next game."
