Ghana winger David Accam ready for Mexico game

Ghana winger David Accam says the team is ready for the international friendly against El Tri of Mexico at the Houston Dynamo Park in the United States.

The winger who is having a good season with MLS side Chicago Fire was recalled into the team after scoring a hatrick over the weekend to become the first Ghanaian to achieve such a feat in the Major League Soccer.

“It’s a good achievement for me. We are first on the league and for me to be doing well at this stage of the league is amazing,” he told ESPN.

The 25 year Old who was speaking at to ESPN ahead of the friendly with Mexico was very optimistic of the stars chances and indicated they will attach all importance to the game.

“We preparing for the world cup qualify so the game is significant,” he told ESPN.

“The match is going to be tough, Mexico play high intensity, they press hard and for us we are prepared for them and it’s going to be a good game and for the fans.”

Accam was dropped for the AFCON in Gabon but after impressive performances, Coach Kwesi Appiah who handed him debut has recalled the pacy winger.
