The Black Stars winger made substitute appearance as his outfit cruised to a 5-3 win over their opponent in the week 31 of the Championship on Saturday.

Sulemana was introduced in the 71st minute mark, taking the place of Scotland international Stuart Armstrong at the St. Mary's Stadium.

The 20-year-old has been out since the end of November last year, ruling him out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Huddersfield opened the scoring through Sorba Thomas after 36 minutes before David Kasumu doubled lead in the 45th minute mark as the visitors went to recess with the advantage.

Putting up a stellar performance, Joe Rothwell scored twice in the 49th and 50th minute marks respectively to level the pegging for the host.

In the 65th minute, Alex Matos restored Huddersfield’s lead in the game but an own goal from Tom Lees brought Southampton back into the game.

Few minutes to full time, Southamtpon proved their worth to merit the three maximum points following strikes from Sékou Mara and Samuel Edozie in the 84th and 90th minutes marks.

Sulemana is expected to play a key role with the Saints hoping to make a quick return to the Premier League.
