Three goals and two assists add up to quite an impact in April by the on-loan Reading winger.

His pace and dynamism on the left of midfield have given Stanley an extra dimension going forward in their promotion push.

Fosu said: “When I arrived, I didn’t expect to get straight into the team but it’s gone well for me. “The fans and my teammates and the manager have been amazing as well, they’ve helped me a lot.”

Sky Sports’ Football League pundit Don Goodman said: “Fosu’s goals and creativity in April have lead Accrington to the verge of promotion with a win in their final game enough to secure promotion to League 1.

“With the lowest budget in the Football League, bringing in players of Fosu’s quality on loan from bigger clubs is a vital ingredient to success and John Coleman will be delighted with the job he’s done.”

Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery said: “Reading loanee Fosu has only played seven matches for Accrington in his short loan spell since arriving at the end of March, which highlights what an impact he has had in grabbing the headlines during his latest team’s relentless march to League 1.”

The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
