Germany-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Richmond Tachie has been banned for three matches after receiving a red card while in action for the Borussia Dortmund U23 team.

The forward was in action for his team last weekend during the game against TSV 1860 Munich.

In a game where the Borussia Dortmund's U23 team lost 2-0, Richmond Tachie committed a dangerous foul in the 88th minute, forcing referee Nico Fuchs to dish out his red card.

This week, the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) after reviewing the incident has ordered Richmond Tachie to be banned from three championship games.

This is a big blow to the Dortmund side that is stronger with the forward in the starting eleven.

The club hopes to cope without the attacker until he serves his ban and becomes available to feature.
