Ghanaian defender Abraham Frimpong features in Ferencvaros' draw against Espanyol in UEL

Ghanaian defender Abraham Akwesi Frimpong featured for Ferencvaros in their 1-1 stalemate against Espanyol in the UEFA Europa League group opener on Thursday evening.

The Hungarian side were not favourite heading into the game however, the Green and White lads stunned the home crowd at the RCDE Stadium when Javi Lopez scored an own goal in the 10th minute.

However, Argentine midfielder Matias Vargas levelled for the hosts in the 60th minute as the game ended 1-1.

Frimpong, who featured for 90 minutes over the weekend in their 4-0 victory against Paks was introduced in the 86th minute to replace Danylo Ihnatenko.

The 26-years-old has made seven appearances in all competitions for the club so far in the 2019/20.
