Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu pens new four-year Clermont Foot contract

Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has signed new deal with French Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot.

Seidu will remain with the club until June 2025 after successful negotiations.

A club statement reads; "Clermont Foot 63 is pleased to announce the extension of Alidu Seidu until 2025."

"The contract extension of Alidu Seidu is part of the club's desire to build over time, both with its managerial players and its players of the future."

He joined Clermont Foot from the Académie Jean-Marc Guillou in Mali in 2019, making his debut for the club against  against Toulouse on September 19.

The highly-rated right-back has made 18 appearances in Ligue 2 this season including five starts for Clermont Foot.

"I am very happy and very proud to extend the adventure with the CF63 until 2025," the Ghanaian told the club's website after putting pen to paper.

"Thank you to all the managers and members of the club, thank you to my teammates and to all those who believe in me."
