Ghana international Baba Rahman was named Man-of-the-Match after putting up an impressive performance for Stade de Reims in their 1-0 win over FC Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday
Stade de Reims took the lead in the 59th-minute through striker Rémi Oudin strike to pick up the maximum point at the Stade Auguste-Deluane.
He was again superb in a game that could have seen him provide two beautiful assists in the first half of the game.
The 24-year-old tore off from the Reins defence with a beautiful combination with Remi Oudin under just five minutes into the game to set up a beautiful through pass for the opener but the ball was fired wide.
Rahman again swivelled his way through the Nantes defenders and was brought down in the 18-yard box in what was a clear penalty call but the referee ignored leaving many, including the commentator of the day, at bay.
The former Asante Kotoko defender kept his back safe and pushed on with several crosses but the home side failed to capitalise.
The second half of the game saw Baba in a relatively more defensive role after FC Nantes brought on Enoch Kwateng to slow down his numerous attacks.
The win lifted Stade de Reims to the 5ht place, joint with Saint-Étienne with 10 matches to end the season.
