Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Ntim targets cup win for Valenciennes against Strasbourg

Ghanaian international, Emmanuel Ntim has set sight on helping his Valenciennes FC outfit to defeat Racing Strasbourg in the French Cup on Thursday evening.

The experienced defender is in line for a starting role today when his team host the French Ligue 1 club in the Round 32 encounter of the French Cup.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Emmanuel Ntim has said the aim is to secure the win to progress to the next stage of the competition.

“A cup match cannot be played, it is won. We are all here to win and everyone will make the effort for 90 minutes for that. In any case, we will be ready because we are at home and we will not be beaten easily,” the right-back said.

Emmanuel Ntim added, “It won't be easy, we will have to be focused until the end of the match. It's a challenge that motivates you to go higher. I take the challenge of defending well tomorrow.”

Today’s cup match between Valenciennes and Racing Strasbourg will kick off at 20:00GMT.
