Ghanaian international, Enock Kwateng could not hide his joy as he expressed his excitement following FC Girondins de Bordeaux’s victory against Troyes in the French Ligue 1 over the past weekend.

The full-back was in action for his team last Sunday when they played as a guest to the matchday opponent of the 2021/22 French top-flight league.

In a game that proved to be a close contest, Enock Kwateng displayed impressed form to push his team to secure all three points courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Speaking in an interview after the game, the full-back said he is elated with the result and performance of his team.

“I'm very happy. It's a relief because we had a bad time and it was important to win against Troyes. That's what we did and we are all happy. There is a lot of positive in the group. [...] In the previous matches, as soon as we took a goal, in general, we could not get back to the score,” Enock Kwateng said.

He added, “To catch up. Against Troyes, we were a real team, united. When we were behind, we were able to come back very quickly. The goal in the second half did us good. We didn't concede a goal, Even if we have been put in danger. The main thing is to come away with three points. We play football to win matches every weekend. It has been a long time since we last regained the taste for victory.”

The Ghanaian will be in action for FC Girondins de Bordeaux this weekend when the team takes on Les Jumeax M'Zouasia in the French Cup.
