Ghanaian defender, Gideon Jung, has made the switch from Hamburger SV to German Bundesliga side Greuther Furth.
The move was made possible after his seven year stay at the Bundesliga 2 side came to an end. The club opted against extending his expiring contract and Furth pounced on the opportunity.
"Gideon wants to really get started again with us and knows what to expect in the first division. His variability, coupled with his experience, will do us very well and his character fits perfectly into the team," Furth's managing director, Rachid Azzouzi stated on the club's website.
Jung joins the side as a free agent and is expected to contribute heavily to the club next season.
