Swiss-born Ghanaian defender Gregory Wüthrich was on target for Sturm Graz in their Austrian Cup win over Grazer AK on Thursday night.

The 28-year-old defender lasted the entire duration when his outfit cruised to a 3-2 away win over their opponent in the Round 3 of the Cup competition.

Sturm Graz wasted no time to open the scoring after Gregory Wüthrich found the back of the net five minutes into the game.

Cameroonian international Michael Cheukoua scored to draw Grazer AK level in the 31st minute before Yannick Oberleitner extended the lead for the home team, seven minutes to the halftime break.

In a spirited performance, the visitors secured victory after grabbing two additional goals in the second half.

An own goal from Yannick Oberleitner in the 58th minute and Bryan Teixeira’s strike in the 84th minute propelled Sturm Graz to snatch victory over their opponent.

The Ghanaian international defender has managed three goals in 19 appearances across competition for Sturm Graz this season.
