Ghana international Joseph Aidoo gifted Barcelona a penalty as Celta Vigo suffered a 4-1 defeat to Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday evening.

Despite putting up a Man of the Match performance he gave away a penalty after Junior Firpo's cross struck his arm. The resulting kick was converted by Lionel Messi as Barcelona won comfortably at Camp Nou.

Lucas Olaza equalised for the visitors with an excellent free-kick, but Messi put the hosts back in front with a similar attempt four minutes later.

Messi stepped up again after half-time, before Sergio Busquets added a fourth.

Since joining Celta Vigo in the summer, Aidoo has been a key cog in the heart of defence, making 12 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
