Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu to stay at Real Valladolid until end of season - Miguel Ángel Gómez

Real Valladolid Sporting director Miguel Ángel Gómez has revealed that in-form Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu will stay at the club until the end of the season.

Salisu has been linked with a move away from the club with several Europe clubs such as Manchester United, Everton, Real Madrid, and Valencia interested in signing him.

The 21-year-old has been one of the consistent players for Real Valladolid, making 28 appearances, scoring one goal, and providing one assist so far this term.

Ángel Gómez is confident the Ghanaian will remain at the club until the end of the season.

"The less talk about Salisu, better for him. It is a mistake we [Real Valladolid] learned about last year with Fernando Calero," Gómez said.

"The club has no record of Valencia’s interest [in Salisu]. These things deceive him. Salisu is a young boy like Fernando was. You have to let the boy concentrate on his things.

"My feeling is that Salisu will continue here, there is no fear. He will be here until the end of the season."
