Ghanaian duo Agyemang Badu and Nicholas Opoku will work under new coach Davide Nicola at Italian Serie A side Udinese following the sacking of Julio Velazquez.

Manager Julio Velazquez was sacked on Tuesday night following the club's recent run of form.

Former Crotone boss Nicola has been named as Velazquez’s successor, having reportedly agreed a deal that will run until the end of the 2019-20 season.

His first match in charge will be the home league game against Roma on November 24.

Agyemang Badu and Nicholas Opoku have impressed for the side in the league despite their lack of game time.

Badu returned to the team this season after spending last season on loan at Turkish side Bursaspor.

Opoku on the other hand joined the Italian side from Tunisian side Club Africain where he established himself as a key member of the team.

New coach Davide Nicola will be counting in the two Ghanaians as well as their other colleagues to turn their season around.
