Ghanaian duo Ati-Zigi & Owusu suffer Coupe De France elimination after Lille defeat

Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Elisha Owusu suffered Coupe de France elimination following a 1-0 loss to Lille on Sunday.

Ati-Zigi, 22 and Owusu, 21 both featured for Sochaux as the former Red Bull Salzburg shot-stopper held down his position in post as he was selected to man the post again following his impressive showing against Lorient just before the Christmas and New Year break.

His recent form would excite Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah who seems to be shaping his squad ahead of the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in June.

The pair lasted the entire duration of the game.

Ati-Zigi has previously played for Liefering and Red Bull Salzburg.

On the other hand, Elisha Owusu is a youth product of Olympique Lyonnais, joining in 2010 and became the captain of their reserve side.

On 23 February 2017, Owusu signed his first professional contract with Lyon for 3 years. On 19 June 2018, he was loaned to Sochaux and has made making 18 appearances for the side in all competitions so far.
