Ghanaian duo Opoku & Nartey set to extend Hansa Rostock loan deals

Ghanaian duo Aaron Opoku and Nikolas Nartey are set to extend their loan deals with German Bundesliga 3 side Hansa Rostock ahead of next season.

Opoku, 21, joined the Hansa Rostock on loan from Bundesliga 2 side SV Hamburg last summer and has since been a key cog of the team.

He has made 33 appearances in all competitions for the club, scored five goals and registered five assists.

On the other hand, Nartey moved to the Ostseestadion Arena on a season-long loan from VfB Stuttgart last year.

He has been an influential contributor to the team.

"We have not given up hope of working with Aaron Opoku," says Sporting Director of Hansa Rostock Martin Pieckenhagen, but knows: "We are the last in the chain."

"The exit is open," Pieckenhagen reports. The situation is similar with Nikolas Nartey, who initially wants to participate in the season preparation at VfB Stuttgart. If he is unable to prevail with the Bundesliga promoted player, another loan transaction seems possible."

Opoku's contract with HSV expires in 2024 while Nartey has a contract with Stuttgart until 2023.
