Ghanaian Ernest Agyiri’s goal not enough as FCI Levadia suffer UEFA Conference League elimination

Ghanaian forward, Ernest Agyiri was on target again for Estonian outfit FCI Levadia in the UEFA Conference League second leg tie against MSK Zilina.

However, the 25-year-old’s goal was not enough for his outfit to escape defeat on home turf against their opponent.

The visitors took an early lead after found the back of the net three minutes into the encounter through Matus Rusnak.

Seven minutes later, the home team responded with an equalizer through the Ghanaian forward.

Zilina took the lead again on the stoke of half time through Andrej Stojchevski as the first half ended 2-1 in their favour.

With no additional goal, Zilina cruised to victory to secure qualification to the next stage of the qualifiers.

Prior to the second leg, Zilina had recorded a 2-1 home win over Levadia. However, a 2-1 away win in the second leg means they have secured qualification 4-2 on aggregate.

The talented forward has been in sensational form for Levadia, scoring 11 goals in 20 matches in the Estonaian topflight league in 2023.
