Ghanaian forward Joselpho Barnes has finalized his transfer to Belgian Pro League club Sint-Truiden, signing a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old, who has previously played for Schalke 04's youth team, brings a wealth of promise to his new club.

Barnes, a member of the victorious Ghana U20 squad that triumphed in the U20 African Cup of Nations in 2021, is poised to make an impact at Sint-Truiden.

During his time with Schalke, he played a significant role for their U19 team, accumulating 39 appearances, three goals, and two assists.

Following the conclusion of his contract in Germany last year, Barnes made the decision to pursue his career in Latvia with FC Riga.

His spell at FC Riga was marked by impressive performances, with Barnes scoring seven goals in 29 matches and providing four assists.

Born and raised in Germany, Barnes is the son of former Ghanaian international Sebastian Barnes.

He honed his skills in the youth academies of renowned German clubs Borussia Mönchengladbach, Fortuna Köln, and Schalke 04, developing into a promising prospect for the future.
