Ghana international Karim Sadat scored in Halmstads BK's 1-1 stalemate against Karlstad BK in the Swedish Cup on Sunday as they advanced to the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Halmstads BK played out a draw with Karlstad BK at the Orjans Vall Stadium in a keenly contested match.

He continued his impressive form from last week following his superb brace in the 2-1 win over IK Sirius in the Svenska Cup.

Sadat bagged his 3rd goal of the season as he shot the Blue and Black lads in the lead on the 41st minute of the game.

Swedish international Victor Edvardsen equalised for the away side on the 56th minute of the game.

The 27-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game together with his compatriot Thomas Boakye.

He has made three appearances and scored three goals for Halmstads BK so far this season.

The Ghanaian forward joined the Swedish side on a long-term contract last summer.

Karim spent two seasons with Landskrona before ending his stay at the club after rejecting a contract renewal.

He scored 11 goals in 28 appearances in the Swedish Superettan league but couldn’t save his club from relegation to the third-tier division after amassing just 22 points in 30 games.
