Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit Khalid wins Tunisian league title with Esperance

Ghanaian international, Abdul Basit Khalid has won the Tunisian Premier League title with his Esperance Sportive de Tunis outfit.

This season, the attacker has played his part very well and is no doubt one of the few players proving to be important for the team.

On Saturday when Esperance posted a narrow 1-0 win against Stade Tunisien, they amassed three crucial points that sealed the title race and gives them the league title for the 2020/2021 football season

With 59 points from the 23 matches they have played, they have a course to celebrate even though there are a few matches to be played.

For Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Khalid this becomes his first major title win with Esperance since joining the side in the January transfer window.

In the 11 appearances he has made for Esperance this season, the striker managed to score two goals and provided one assist.

He will hope to win more trophies with the Tunisian giants.
