Ghanaian-German defender Michael Akoto has made a significant move in his football career as he officially joins Danish club Aarhus GF, adding an international touch to the team's defensive line.

Aarhus GF concluded a two-year agreement with the 25-year-old Ghanaian-born German Michael Akoto, who joins the club on a free transfer.

He was released at the end of the campaign in Bundesliga 3 by Dynamo Dresden.

Michael Akoto, who was born in Accra but has German citizenship. The defender has spent the last two years playing for Dynamo Dresden, where he played 57 games and scored two goals in both the 2nd and 3rd Bundesliga.

He started his youth football career with SV Frauenstein (2013) and SV Wehen Wiesbaden (2013 to 2016).  Akoto's senior career also started with Wehen Wiesbaden (2016 to 2018) he made four appearances and Mainz 05 II ( 2018 to 2021) he made 52 appearances.

Michael Akoto has played for any of Germany's national sides. His market value is 325,000 euros according to Transfermarkt.
