Ghanaian pair of Lumor Agbenyenu and Baba Mohammed, unfortunately, had to endure defeat with Spanish side RCD Mallorca at the hands of UD Levante in the eleventh Ciutat de Palma Cup over the weekend.

The two players featured for the La Liga side in hopes of beating their opponent to ensure they lifted the pre-season trophy at the end of the day.

Unfortunately for them, things did not go according to plan, leaving them to lose 2-1 at the end of the match and missing out on enjoying cup triumph ahead of the start of the regular season.

Lumor Agbenyenu and Baba Mohammed started the match for the newly-promoted LaLiga outfit at the Estadio Son Moix in the Ciutat de Palma Cup on Saturday.

Two goals in quick succession by Levante courtesy strikes from Sergio Leon and Borja Mayoral were enough to hand the away side the trophy despite an earlier equalizer from Budimir.

Lumor lasted 88 minutes for his side whiles Baba lasted 66 minutes before he was substituted.

The Ghanaian pair played well in the defeat and are expected to play key roles when the La Liga season starts next weekend.

RCD Mallorca will welcome Eibar to the Estadio Son Moix on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
