Ghanaian international Bernard Morrison has been arrested by Tanzania Police following his recent fallout with his club, Young Africans SC.

The attacking midfielder joined the Yanga SC outfit in 2019 with high expectations on the back of a stellar stint with South African club Orlando Pirates.

After football resumed in Tanzania after the Coronavirus break, Bernard Morrison has been in the news for the bad reasons.

It can be recalled that during Yanga SC’s clash with bitterest rivals Simba SC a week ago, the Ghanaian walked off the pitch to the dressing room in anger after his coach substituted him in the second half.

Since then, there has been one issue after the other with the relationship with his club still in tatters following his bizarre announcement that he has ended his contract with Yanga.

Today, news coming in has indicated that Bernard Morrison has been arrested by Police in Tanzania after reportedly obstructing police officers from inspecting his car.

According to RPC Bukombe from Kinondoni, the attacking midfielder is likely going to face misdemeanor charges for resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Bernard Morrison has been released on bail with an investigation set to continue.
