Ghana and Tampa Bay midfielder Dominic Oduro has expressed his disappointment not to have helped his side gain promotion to the MLS.

The Rowdies finished 12th in the just ended USL season with 41 points.

The 23-year-old who was attracted interest from Manchester City joined Tampa Bay in the second round of the 2017/18 season with hopes of helping them into the American top flight.

Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com, the highly-rated midfielder believes his side will bounce back despite not helping them gain promotion.

“The season was not too bad, but we were expecting to make the playoffs and unfortunately we couldn’t, we will bounce back and I believe we are going to have an amazing season next year,” Oduro said.

He has made 18 appearances, bagged a goal and provided an assist in his debut season.
