Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has backed his former club, Arsenal to sign Leicester City's left-back via his official twitter handle.

Frimpong, 27, made the claim following Leicester’s 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur away from home at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday afternoon.

Chilwell started the Premier League match and lasted the entire duration of the game.

The youngster played well for Leicester, as he combined nicely with his teammates Harvey Barnes and James Maddison and provided an option in attack.

Against Tottenham on Sunday, the left-back took four shots, had a pass accuracy of 70.7%, won three headers, and made five interceptions and three clearances, and played one key pass.

The England international has made 25 appearances in the Premier League for Leicester so far this season, providing two assists in the process.

Frimpong has said on Twitter that the Gunners should sign Chilwell.

On 6 September 2011, it was announced by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that Frimpong has pledged his future to Ghana. FIFA cleared him to play for Ghana in November 2012.

He made his Ghana international debut on 24 March 2013 during a 2014 World Cup qualifying match against Sudan.
