Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Mustapha joins Red Star Belgrade

Red Star Belgrade and EurAfrica Football Club have agreed terms and finalised details for the permanent transfer of Ibrahim Mustapha to Serbia.

The powerful offensive midfielder joins for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-half year deal.

Mustapha, 19, is known for his pace and power in central midfield and usually averages a descent tally of goals in a season. He spent most of his formative years with Tamale AC Milan.

Oliver Arthur, the player’s agent – and that of his compatriot at his new club, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom – says the move fulfills a vision he 'adopted for the player [Ibrahim Mustapha] immediately after watching him play for the first time for EurAfrica FC.'

Having arrived in Serbia earlier, Mustapha is joining the Youth Team in a mid-season break in Macedonia, with prospects of his feature in the UEFA Youth League brighter than ever.

Red Star Belgrade U-19 survived in a group with Tottenham and Bayern Munich to make the 2019/20 play-off round, away to Moldovan FC Sheriff Tiraspol on February 12.
