Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie sees red as his Sivasspor side suffer defeat to Galatasaray

Ghanaian international, Isaac Cofie has red-carded last Saturday during Sivasspor’s match week 8 fixture against Galatasaray.

The hardworking midfielder was called upon to take control of affairs in the middle of the park against the Turkish Super Lig giant.

He was presented with a lot of mopping up duties and ended up committing several infringements.

Three minutes into the second half, he committed a foul that compelled the matchday referee to show him the red card.

Galatasaray who was already leading by two goals wrapped it up with a third goal from Ryan Babel even though Arouna Kone and Erdoğan Yesilyurt scored two goals for Sivasspor.

The game eventually ended 3-2 in favour of Galatasaray with Isaac Cofie’s side suffering the full effect of playing with 10 men.

The Ghanaian is expected to miss the side’s next match through suspension but will hope to get back onto the pitch with a lot of confidence and firepower.
