The game at the Nebenplatz Ruhrstadion ended 1-1. Fellow compatriot Christopher Adjei played for Bochum.

Bochum made a few attempts in the first fifteen minutes of the game to go close to the Truiense goal, but they were unable to score. Coppens made a couple of stops and preserved an undefeated record.

Koita attempted a goal-bound effort just after the half-hour mark, but Bochum's goalie deflected it into the corner. The STVV was immediately revived as a result of that bolt. The Bochum defense faced increasing amounts of pressure and had to work harder.

The second half got off to a fast start. After 30 seconds, Barnes stepped up front and seized a chance. He scored to make it 1-0.

After taking the lead, STVV managed to control the match well.

The equalizer was scored by Bochum in the 88th minute. Noah Loosli stretched the ball into the Truiense goal following a challenging corner. Additionally, this was the final move of the game.
