Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah to miss Guimarães Europa League clash against București

Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Amoah is set to miss Victoria Guimarães clash against Steaua București in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers due to injury.

Amoah missed Guimarães game against Boavista on Sunday due to an injury and is expected to be ruled out of his side's Europa League game against Steaua Bucharest in the first leg of the Europa League play-offs on Thursday.

He suffered a trauma to his right hip with joint damage.

According to reports from the club, the 25-year-old's condition requires immediate attention and he will be required to undergo surgery.

Victoria Guimarães and Steaua București will be meeting for the first time ever in European competition.

Amoah made his Primeira Liga debut for Vitória Guimarães on May 23, 2015, coming in as a second-half substitute for compatriot and his compatriot Bernard Mensah in a 4–2 victory over Académica de Coimbra.
