Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Painstil can't wait to make his Genk UCL debut

Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Paintsil has expressed his eagerness to mark his Genk Uefa Champions League debut on Tuesday.

The Belgium giants have been drawn in Group E together with defending champions Liverpool, Napoli and Majeed Ashimeru's Red Bull Salzburg.

Speaking to GHANAsoccernet.com, the 21-year-old expressed his happiness to make his Champions League debut against Red Bull Salzburg.

“It’s great to play in the Champions League because it comes once or twice in a life time and since I have this opportunity, I have to make good use of it”, Painstil said.

“In our group we are ready and the games am looking forward to is against all the three opponents in the group. All our group games are important”

He also expressed his readiness to feature for Genk despite suffering an injury in the league game against Charleroi on Saturday.

“I had some light training on Sunday with the tap but I am not 100% sure if I will be ready for the game on Tuesday”.
